Test cricketer David Warner and wife Candice Falzon have sold one of their many Maroubra investment apartments.

The bullish off-market sale secured around $1.25 million for the two-bedroom unit.

Their $1.023 million acquisition in 2017 saw it become a $700-a-week rental, reflecting a 3.5 per cent yield for the top floor 94sqm apartment.

So pleased with the “seamless sale” Warner did a social media video yesterday praising the estate agent Josh Ellison of Ellison Zulian Property. It was a record price in the Hereward Street block of eight.

No doubt the funds will go towards their dream home which is taking shape at Lurline Bay, with interiors by Alexandra Kidd.

The couple bought their 900sqm oceanfront building block — set to be their forever home — in late 2015 for $3.9 million.

Warner’s first home purchase, another two-bedroom Maroubra apartment, came in 2009 costing $562,000. It was sold in 2014 at $650,000 by the duo who retain an expansive property portfolio.

“You can’t go wrong on bricks and mortar,” the former Matraville Public School student once told The Daily Telegraph.
