Lise Buckeridge, an heiress to the late billionaire construction tycoon Len Buckeridge's fortune, has scored a windfall result with her hillside Bronte offering.

The initial guide was revised up from its initial $3.75 million offering to $3.8 million after its first inspection.

Then a knock-out $4.5 million offer was quickly accepted a few days later for the three storey, freestanding home with a leafy outlook over Bronte Gully.

The buyer had been eyeing the house for about five years.

The four bedroom, three bathroom home only has views to the ocean from its top level.

Set on 385 square metres, the home was initially bought in 1998 for $1.03 million by her late father’s company.

His $2.5 billion construction company is one of the country's biggest privately owned business empires.

There has been a protracted legal dispute over the distribution of his fortune among 15 family members.

Family members have now agreed to a number of changes to his father's will aimed at "provide for the individual expectations of all family members".
