Veteran finance industry director Paul Rizzo and wife Frances has sold their redundant Sydney home.

The couple have been based in Melbourne for the past two decades, so they’ve finally decided to sell their old Darling Point residence they bought for $585,000 in 1992.

It was purchased soon after Rizzo ended his 24 years at the ANZ Bank.

The classic Mona Road home has four bedrooms, two with private balconies, and two bathrooms across its three levels.

The property was last available for rent at $1100 a week in 2016.

Ray White Double Bay agents Warren Ginsberg and Adam Reichman were taking the home to October 10 auction with a guide of $2.4 million, but brought it forward given strong interest.

It fetched $2.91 million.
