The ever-busy Broadbeach has seen another development application lodged for a residential tower, the third in a week following two by Morris Property Group.

Platinum Investments Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based developer, had Design Vibe draw up the plans for a 40-level tower 2797 Gold Coast Highway, on the corner of First Avenue.

It sits on a 1,201 sqm block that was secured earlier this year for $4.3 million.

The tower will home 113 apartments, with a mix of two and three-bedroom apartments, in addition to one five-bedroom penthouse.

A communal open space will be located within level four and the adjoining mezzanine, along with a small food and drink outlet situated on the ground floor.

The level four space is set to include a pool and pool deck, lounges, gym, yoga lawn, and dining facilities, all set amongst lush, green landscaping. The mezzanine level of level four will also be home to a sky lounge, with dining and transitional spaces.

Extensive open space areas are located to the south of the site, including Platell Park and the Cascade Gardens, offering a riverside park with picnic and play areas. Additionally, Broadbeach Park also known as Nikiforides Family Park, and the Broadbeach Bowls Club are to the south of the site, along with sitting within walking distance to the Florida Gardens light rail station.

Taking on a tall and slender form, the distinctive architectural character is embellished further through the landscape design, both at ground level and structured through the podium levels.

Crowning the tower will be the five-bedroom penthouse, which is set to be laid out across three-levels. The ground floor of the space follows an open-plan layout, spanning half a floor. That will open to a balcony which will feature a plunge pool, gazebo, and dining facilities.

Also on this level is a guest bedroom with an ensuite, study, and media room, as well as the main living, kitchen and dining space.

The third level of the penthouse is home to the master bedroom, which encompasses the entire level. A generous balcony wraps around the floor, accompanying a massive ensuite and walk-in-robe space.

Level two of the penthouse will consist of three-bedrooms, each with their own ensuite and walk-in-robe. An east-facing balcony is accessed from the rumpus space which separates the bedrooms.
